No worries we were a little pressed for time with sleeps and what not but did the Aquarium (HIGHLY recommend it at the moment with the penguines there), the Zoo and the Fitzroy Gardens. Would have loved to do the Museum but ran out of time.

they have such great playgrounds in Melbourne too. Much better than Adelaide. Not sure what suburb its in but there is a play cafe called kids space? It's huge! Im always a passenger over there so never take any notice of where we are :s

We went to Melbourne in Oct of last year and Vanessa loved the skydeck. I was almost at vomiting point standing with my back to the centre wall and she was leaning on the glass. If I had the strength in my legs I would have walked over and pulled her away, ewwww I want to vomit just thinking of it.

We loved the zoo and the tram ride out.

We went over to the Casino at night time and let her watch the fire display - not sure of the correct name and term (but when the gas flames come up)?

We went back to the Aquarium and although she liked it, she only liked it for 30mins which made it an expensive trip in.

Just adding to this for future reference: Kids Flicks at the ACMI

They have both the classics and fairly new movies (ie. Wizard of Oz and Where the Wild Things Are)... the ACMI is at Fed Square and tickets are only $5 a head.

More info at http://www.acmi.net.au/kids_flicks.aspx

Yet another find... the Collingwood Childrens Farm.

Open every day. $16 admission for a family and accessible by public transport.

And a really good cafe there too. Bet you didnt expect to visit a farm at a big city!
